Sandwich Radomes

SHEERGARD® Sandwich Radome products are advanced, passive structures designed to protect antenna systems in challenging environments without requiring external power or electronical systems. Built with a durable wall structure, these radomes use resin-impregnated fiberglass skins surrounding a low-density foam core, creating a robust sandwich construction. This advanced sandwich construction, along with its meticulously engineered and manufactured joints, ensures optimal electromagnetic performance for the antenna system.

SHEERGARD sandwich radome products are an innovative, cost-effective solution for long-term antenna protection.

Why Choose SHEERGARD Sandwich Radomes

Compared to air-supported radomes, SHEERGARD® sandwich radomes provide excellent electromagnetic performance within narrow frequency ranges (approximately 3-5 GHz) while reducing overall operating and procurement costs. Furthermore, advanced sandwich radome designs can accommodate multi-band capabilities, making them ideal for applications involving higher frequencies in combination with L-band and S-band operations.
